Main attractions of Panaji: The Idalcao or the Adilshahi Palace is one of the prime attractions of Panaji. Built by the Portugese Viceroy Jeronimo de Azevedo, this building is now presently the secretariat in Panaji. The Raj Niwas is another popular attraction in Panaji. However, the most famous spot of Panaji is the Church Square or Lago de Igreja which forms the heart of the city. Built is Portugese Baroque design, the church portrays the image of Lady of Fatima in one of the altars. The Panaji Jama Masjid, St Thome quarter, Sebastien Chapel and the Braganza Institute are some of the popular attractions of Panaji.
